The Visionary Behind Rajhans Milk
Bhausaheb Santuji Thorat was the visionary founder of Rajhans Milk (Sangamner Taluka Sahakari Dudh Utpadak & Prakriya Sangh), established in 1977. He dedicated his life to empowering local milk farmers, creating a cooperative platform that ensured fair pricing, organized milk collection, and improved livelihoods for rural communities in the Sangamner region.
Under his guidance, Rajhans Milk focused on quality, hygiene, and innovation, combining traditional dairy practices with modern processing methods. Bhausaheb Thorat was committed to community development, promoting education, health awareness, and sustainable farming practices among local farmers.

Balasaheb Thorat has played an important role in strengthening and expanding Rajhans Milk, building upon the strong foundation laid by the cooperative’s founders. With a deep commitment to farmers and rural development, he has supported initiatives that improve milk procurement, enhance infrastructure, and ensure better returns for dairy producers across the Sangamner region. His leadership has encouraged modernization while preserving cooperative values.
Under his guidance, Rajhans Milk has focused on quality standards, technological advancement, and efficient management systems. Emphasis has been placed on farmer training, productivity improvement, and adoption of modern dairy practices. Balasaheb Thorat has consistently promoted initiatives that enhance milk quality, expand market reach, and strengthen the cooperative network to benefit member farmers.

Hon. Ranjeetsinh Deshmukh
The Chairman Shaping Rajhans Milk
The chairman of Rajhans Milk is Ranjeetsinh Vijaysinh Deshmukh. He has significant experience in the social welfare and cooperative sector, working in these fields for over 15 years.
Ranjeetsinh Deshmukh has also served as ex-chairman and director at the Maharashtra State Co-operative Milk Federation Limited (Mahanand) in Mumbai, which is the apex body for cooperative milk unions in the state.
Under his leadership at the Sangamner Taluka Co-operative Milk Producers and Processing Union, the Union has taken initiatives such as starting its own milk powder manufacturing plant with a capacity of around 15 tons per day, producing products like skimmed milk powder, whole milk powder, and dairy whitener, which are supplied both nationally and internationally.
Journey Since 1977
Rajhans Milk was established in 1977 under the Sangamner Taluka Sahakari Dudh Utpadak & Prakriya Sangh with the vision of supporting local milk producers and delivering pure dairy products to consumers. The cooperative was founded by Bhausaheb Santuji Thorat, who aimed to organize small farmers and provide them with fair pricing and a reliable milk collection system.
In its early years, Rajhans Milk focused on strengthening rural dairy activities by setting up collection centers and introducing hygienic milk handling practices. As the cooperative grew, it expanded its processing capacity and adopted modern technology to ensure better quality and safety. Over time, Rajhans Milk introduced packaged milk and diversified into dairy products such as ghee, paneer, and other value-added items.
Today, Rajhans Milk continues to build on its strong foundation by combining traditional cooperative values with modern processing methods. The organization remains committed to empowering farmers, promoting rural development, and delivering fresh, nutritious, and high-quality dairy products to consumers across the region
